Tomorrow, humanity will ascend to its next plane of existence. Nintendo’s new gaming hardware, the Nintendo Switch, will finally launch to the excitement and anticipation of gamers. As such, this week’s Nintendo eShop update will be the largest one yet!

NINTENDO ESHOP RELEASES – MARCH 2, 2017

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the long-awaited return to Hyrule, will enter our collections tomorrow. Awoken from his slumber, Link is thrust into the wilderness of this open landscape! Travel, survive and unravel the mystery behind Hyrule’s descent. Breath of the Wild takes after the open-ended nature of the first Zelda, and it will be available for the Switch and the Wii U. Additionally, if you’d like to enhance your adventure, perhaps you’d be interested in the Expansion Pass?

1-2-Switch is a minigame collection built around the system’s Joy-Con controllers. Gather your friends for a party and stare down each other in this 1v1 test of reflexes. Milk those cows!

Snipperclips – Cut it out, together! is a puzzle game where you’ll control Snip and Clip. The pair progress by cutting each other to solve brainteasers, and the game was designed with co-op in mind. A demo will be accessible if you’re not sold.

Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment is the newest scenario in the Shovel Knight universe. This one is a prequel to the main game, and it stars Specter Knight, one of Shovel Knight’s foes. Specter of Torment will be a timed-exclusive for the Switch.

Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is a fittingly-titled compilation! If you need to catch up on the series, Treasure Trove contains Shovel Knight, Plague of Shadows and Specter of Torment. Keep an eye out for King Knight, too! Like the standalone Specter of Torment release, Treasure Trove will launch first for the Switch.

Just Dance 2017 is the latest in Ubisoft’s endless Just Dance series. This one will have over 40 fresh songs and five different game modes. It’ll be supported throughout the year with additional content, too. Why, you’ll even receive a three-month trial of the Just Dance Unlimited service!

Super Bomberman R serves as the unexpected homecoming of the late Hudson Soft’s most beloved character. Get your friends together and blow each other up in the 8-Player battles! Thanks, Konami, for shifting through your back catalogue.

I Am Setsuna will grant your Switch a meaty JRPG. Play as the eponymous heroine in “a powerfully nostalgic experience, blending classic storytelling, battle system and gameplay.”

FAST RMX might not be F-Zero, but it should still get your adrenaline pumping! Shin’en is very technologically proficient, and their Switch-exclusive looks to reaffirm their aptitude. One of my friends enjoyed their previous racer, so I’ll (try to!) keep an eye on their new installment.

Dungeon Explorer, for the Wii U Virtual Console, will allow you and four allies to explore together. Choose from one of eight character classes and role play in this TurboGrafx-16 classic.

NEUTOPIA, also originally for the TurboGrafx-16, is also an action-RPG. Reclaim the eight magical medallions and keep an eye out for secrets!

STORY OF SEASONS: Trio of Towns, for the Nintendo 3DS, should be easy to settle into if you’re a Harvest Moon fan. You’ll forge friendships, relationships, you’ll maintain your property…

Finally, the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls mobile app is for iOS and Android devices. Here, you can keep tabs on your kid’s playtime as well as block them from playing inappropriate titles. Unlike its namesake console, the app is out now.
